Our adorable inspector is back! I have been following the Lisa Becker’s series since the first book. The previous books are very entertaining. This one, The Vampire of Berlin, did not fail to satisfy me (again)!For those of you who are new to Lisa Becker’s stories, I can tell you that this series revolutionized the crime/detective genre. Firstly, the author successfully developed unique characters. For example, the main character, Lisa, is not the typical detective you find in common crime novels. She is fat and off-beat while not the kind of person you would hate.
For the storyline, it is filled with suspense and surprises, which are must-have elements of every successful mystery story. At the same time, the story does not fall short of humor. This great combination results in a highly entertaining story that you would read non-stop from the beginning to the end.
If you haven’t read the Lisa Becker series before, be sure to give it a shot!

Good read. Would like to give it five stars but I detest fat women. They don't make good protagonists.
Light mystery, very enjoyable
This is a great read that is well worth your time. It's a great mystery where you will never guess the end. The author does a great job incorporating just the right about of romance and humor into this great story where you won't be able to put it down.
While I enjoy reading the Rademacher books, I am appalled by the sloppy editing. Not only are there numerous incomplete and run on sentences, omitted, misplaced or misspelled words, and context errors, but also the translator clearly has inadequate English language skills. Surely and Rademacher's publisher can do better.
So well written with such excellent character development...really enjoy these Lisa Becker mysteries...looking forward to more of these books! Yes!
This is my first introduction to the Lisa Becker series. In parts it was "laugh out loud" funny, and defied all of the stereotypes in novels where everybody is perfect. Myself I find it creepy that in several vampire series that "hundred-year-old" vampires can be attracted to girls still in high school and nobody seems to notice that big white elephant in the room. I prefer to read stories about adults and I found this one to be quirky, unpredictable and fun. I also recommend the Samantha Moon series by JR Rain.
Rademacher does it again! In this unique vampire novel, the author gels mystery and suspense together perfectly and readers will have a tough time putting it down. Fans of crime stories will be completely entertained as they try to solve the puzzle too. The captivating plot will keep book lovers interested and completely enthralled all the way up to the surprising finish. This is the third of the Lisa Becker Mystery series and it could easily be read as a standalone, but you'll want to grab the other two once you've devoured this creative masterpiece. It's out of the ordinary, unusual and terrifyingly good!
