This series just keeps getting better and better! This book is hot, hot, hot as only scary, angry dom Mark can be. The BDSM scenes are fantastic, but it's also the chemistry and the banter between the MCs that really bring this series to exciting, titillating, addicting life. The plot thickens with Jen's father and why he is after Mark. It also seems that Jen may not have been in on the scam when first ending up at the pony farm, but I'm sure that all will be revealed in future books. I am looking forward to figuring out how Mistress K and Radclife and Jennifer all fit into this plot to take down Mark and I'm dying to know why they (K, Radclife and Kyle) hate him (Mark) so much that they want him dead. Great plot, steamy beyond words and all I have to say is "Next book, please!!!"Product details

I had a hard time with this story. Not because of the scenes; now those were hot! But because it kept referencing the passed of the characters without explanation. It wasn't until I finished the book that I learned those references were to another series. It would have been much more useful to know reading the other series first would make this one less confusing. Even still, this one was pretty intense and suspenseful. I really hope there is more to come, because I have to know what happens after that drink.

I wasn't sure if such a dark book would catch my attention but Jennifer and Mark grabbed my heart as they are forced to marry by Jennifer's father, a character I'd like to 1. learn more about & 2. wring his spoiled neck. Mark is blackmailed into marrying Jennifer due to his past misdeeds & Jennifer has been trained to obey from childhood. Jennifer learning to trust Mark & the BDSM party at the end of the book are uplifting, but the book leaves you on a BIG cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next book to come out to see what happens.
The Velvet Chair is a delicious and naughty story, overflowing with sexual tension and conflicting emotions of hate and lust. Jennifer Redcliff and Mark Matthews have an intriguing history and every reason to hate each other…but the problem is that even though they don’t want to admit it, they are made for each other. So when they are forced into marriage by Jennifer’s cruel and vindictive father sparks fly.
The story is absorbing, and C.P. Mandara’s active imagination and tantalizing descriptions make it even more compelling to read the book in one sitting.
This is an unbelievable story. 1st I would highly recommend reading the whole Pony Tails series. No words and I even told the author that. I am very familiar with C P Mandara's work. This is a beautifully written story and it it's definitely a page turner. CP has you on the edge of your seat. You're going to crave more of it. You are going to LOVE and HATE Mark (well I love Mark and I'm not sharing) ;) I don't want to tell you too much but take a chance on this story it's fantastic
Mark Matthews is being blackmailed into marrying the daughter of his enemy, and he's not taking it lying down. He has dastardly plans for his new bride, Jennifer Redcliff. He'll play his Dominance to the hilt, all the better to send her screaming to her divorce lawyer.
But Jennifer can't divorce him. She has nowhere else to turn. So she'll be his voluntary, albeit feisty, submissive.
The Velvet Chair is considered dark BDSM romance, and it's definitely that, with the steamiest of sex scenes. And let me tell you, the ending? I've got to get my hands on the next installment! 5 BIG stars!!

Her husband is fighting his urge to keep her. He has second thoughts because she was made for him. They fit each other. BDSM version of the Perils of Pauline.
Honestly I'm surprised she's got more than 9 lives. Yes it's a stretch to think a character can tolerate even one of the scenes. This is a totally fan-tassy book, very entertaining and the author is extremely creative, colorful, and I can't fault it for anything. I'm looking forward to the next volume.
